Boston, MA (October 12, 2021)— Exaktera, LLC, a holding company formed by Union Park Capital in 2021 announced today that Phil Martin has joined as Chief Executive Officer. Martin most recently served as President of Novanta Inc.’s Photonics Group. Novanta is a leading global supplier of core technology solutions for medical and advanced industrial original equipment manufacturers.
During his time at Novanta he was responsible for leading the company’s Photonics businesses which included Cambridge Technology, Synrad and Laser Quantum which collectively provided laser beam handling and scanning components and solutions, CO2 lasers, and specialty visible light lasers to a wide variety of industrial and medical applications.
Prior to Novanta, Martin served in a variety of general management and commercial leadership roles at Danaher Inc, Ashcroft and Emerson Electric.

Martin holds an AB in Computer Science and an MBA from Dartmouth College and has spent his career leading global technology businesses in analytical, test and measurement and photonics industries.
