Inspection that keeps pace with production.
Body panel inspection, weld bead verification, battery cell, tyre and wheel measurement, inspection and laser-projected assembly templates all at production speeds. Exaktera supplies the lighting, laser modules, projectors and the enclosures that keep vision and assembly stations running in body shop and battery assembly conditions.
Make every defect visible.
Whatever the part, surface or material, the right lighting decides what the camera can see. Exaktera LED illumination delivers the contrast and consistency that automotive inspection demands, from body-in-white through to final assembly.

Precision you can build on.
Exaktera laser modules deliver stable, repeatable laser lines for 3D measurement and profiling across the vehicle, from body to tyres, wheels and components. Wavelength, power and line geometry are matched to your application.

Show operators exactly where.
Exaktera laser projectors put digital templates directly onto the workpiece. They guide operators at critical steps and switch between variants in seconds, which makes them ideal for mixed-model lines.

Built for the factory floor.
Automotive production is tough on vision hardware. Exaktera enclosures protect cameras, optics and lighting so systems keep running, station after station, shift after shift.
The complete vision system, from one partner.
Exaktera covers illumination, optics, enclosures and integration, with every component specified to work with the others from day one.
Qualification, traceability and compliance
What traceability records do vision systems generate?
Exaktera supplies the lighting, laser modules, laser projectors and enclosures that go into vision and assembly stations. The camera, software and overall system are designed and qualified by the automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplier or system integrator. We work with them to specify the right light source and protection for each station.
Which LED wavelengths are useful in automotive inspection?
As well as visible white and red lighting, longwave UV makes adhesives containing UVA fluorescent agents visible, so bead presence and position can be checked. NIR lighting can see through some polymers to show what is underneath. Coaxial lights are used for reading and verifying 2D codes, including codes embossed on metal parts.
Can LED lighting be used on EV battery lines?
Yes. Battery assembly stations bring their own challenges: electrolyte contamination, heat in enclosed stations and reflective or dark electrode films that are hard to image. Exaktera LED lights come in a range of geometries and IP-rated housings to create contrast on anode and cathode films, and Exaktera digital laser modules provide stable laser lines for 3D profiling of cells and modules. Exaktera enclosures with active thermal management and sealed optical windows protect the camera and lighting in the station.
What is the changeover time for a multi-variant production line?
For laser projection, changeover is software-driven and takes seconds. The operator or line control system selects the new model, and the ZLP projector loads the corresponding template file with no physical jig removal and nothing to realign. Lighting normally stays the same across variants so the remaining changeover time is usually the part fixture itself.
