Reliable inspection, line after line.
Tablet and capsule appearance, fill level, seal integrity, labels and barcodes all need reliable, repeatable inspection on pharmaceutical and cosmetics lines. Exaktera supplies the LED lighting, laser modules and hygienic enclosures used in these inspection systems.
Lighting for consistent inspection.
Tablet colour consistency, capsule colour grading, chip detection and print legibility all depend on the right lighting geometry for repeatable results. Exaktera ring and dome lights provide controlled, stable illumination, so an inspection setup can be rolled out across shifts, lines and sites rather than tuned to one camera in one facility. Multispectral and hyperspectral LED lighting supports capsule sorting by colour and coating, and helps identify damaged or broken tablets.
Fill-level checks on blister, vial and syringe lines use backlighting and transmitted light to detect underfills, overfills and empty pockets that reflected light can miss. NIR wavelengths can also image through some packaging materials. Washdown-rated models are available for hygienic production areas.

UV LED for seal integrity and contamination detection.
Seal integrity checks, cleanliness inspection and fluorescent tracer detection all rely on UV LED lighting as the excitation source. Exaktera UV LED lights cover wavelengths from 265 nm UVC to 405 nm, replacing mercury lamps with solid-state lighting that delivers consistent output, needs no warm-up and lasts longer.

Clear label and code reading, with enclosures for washdown areas.
LED lighting increases contrast for label inspection, and Exaktera laser modules support fast, accurate barcode reading for product tracking and tracing. High-intensity strobe lighting keeps images sharp on fast packaging lines.
Stainless steel Exaktera enclosures with IP69K protection and hygienic design protect cameras and lasers in washdown and cleanroom areas.

Our application engineers work from the product type, defect criteria, line speed and production environment. Tell us the inspection task and we’ll recommend the right lighting.
