Fabric defect detection and web guiding for textile production.
Surface defect detection, width measurement and web guiding for woven, knitted and nonwoven fabrics at production speeds. Advanced Illumination and Z-LASER cover illumination and measurement across the full textile inspection task.
Grazing-angle illumination for holes, snags and weave errors.
Fabric surface defects — holes, snags, dropped stitches, weave errors and contamination — are reliably detected by illumination that emphasises surface topology rather than illuminates it flatly. Advanced Illumination grazing-angle and dark-field illuminators project light across the fabric at a low angle, making surface discontinuities scatter light toward the camera while the surrounding fabric remains comparatively dark. The technique works across woven, knitted and nonwoven constructions and across the range of colourways that a single production line handles across shifts.
Strobe synchronisation to line speed ensures sharp images at production throughput — the same illumination specification works at creep speed during setup and at full line speed in production, without adjustment.

Edge detection and width measurement for continuous web alignment.
Z-LASER line modules project a precise measurement reference across the full web width — detecting fabric edge position, measuring usable width and providing the signal for web guide control systems. The laser source is bright enough to work across the range of fabric colours and constructions the production line handles without adjustment for each change of substrate.
Width measurement data is logged per roll and per production order for quality documentation. Edge position data feeds the web guide controller directly — the measurement and control functions from a single sensor, without a separate edge detector.
