BB500 Bar Light

Introduction

505 × 29 mm of light field, in a bar 507 × 31 × 17 mm.

One length of the BB ladder — 50, 100, 300, 500, 800 and 1000 mm — built on 320 SMD LEDs behind either a diffuse or a clear cover. Same profile and same M8 connector at every length.

Diffuse or directed

Diffuse spreads the output across the window — even, and forgiving of a surface that is not flat or not square to the light.

Directed leaves the LEDs behind a clear cover with their own 30° beam angle and no ancillary lens. Brighter at distance, and harder-edged: on a specular surface the individual emitters will show.

That choice is made with the part number, and the illuminance range below spans it.

Illuminance at 100 mm: 2412.4–21366 lx across variants.

The controller is inside

Brightness is set on the bar, and switching comes from a PLC input at 24 V DC. There is no external controller box and no separate supply to mount — which is most of the point of the BASIC range.

Continuous and switching mode only: this family does not strobe.

Applications

The general-purpose incident bar: surface inspection, print and code reading, presence and absence, edge detection, and — angled low across the part — the scratch and emboss work that flat light will not show.

Where it fits

Six lengths, 50 mm to 1000 mm. The LBHP range covers the same job with High Power LEDs, a strobe mode and lens options; BB is the compact, sealed, simpler answer at IP64 against the LBHP's IP50.
