About the LMX-BF150X150
Introduction
150 × 150 mm of light field, in a body 171 × 161 × 11 mm thick and 0.355 to 0.375 kg.
324 or 576 SMD LEDs, by part number behind either a diffusing window or a clear one — the same housing doing two different jobs, chosen by part number rather than by an accessory.
Diffuse or directed
Diffuse gives an even emitting surface with no visible LEDs. As a backlight that is what puts a clean silhouette edge on the part; as incident light it is forgiving of surface texture.
Directed replaces the diffusing window with a clear one and lets the LEDs throw a 30° beam — less even close up, considerably brighter further out.
Those ranges span the guidance and the colour options together. The width of them is the choice being made, not a tolerance — read the figure for the part number, not for the size.
Switching
100 % brightness within 3.5 ms, from a PLC 24 V DC input, with the controller built into the housing. Continuous and switching mode only: strobe on this size is not offered, and only the BF25x25 in this range provides it.
Applications
Backlight or incident light: silhouette and edge detection, presence and absence, hole detection, object gauging, part location and orientation.
