The BL128 Series is a compact linear backlight for space-constrained line scan inspection. A bezel-free design along its length lets the emitting window sit right up against an adjacent surface, so the illuminated area continues to the edge of the nest with no dark strip.

An ultra-thin profile of 12.2 mm keeps the vertical footprint small enough to slide under a conveyor or a transport plate. Lengths run 50.6 mm to 380.8 mm at 58.7 mm wide, and the extrusion-based aluminium housing scales in one dimension, so a longer web needs a longer unit and nothing else in the fixture changes.

The BL128 Series also works as a non-directional, highly diffuse bar light for general machine vision, which means one part number covers two jobs on a mixed line. Standard units weigh around 226 g per 2 in of length, and white light lumen maintenance is L70 at 50,000 hours. The BL128 range covers white, 470 nm, 520 nm, 660 nm and 880 nm, with IP50 or IP64 sealing and build-to-order lead times of one to two weeks.
