About the AI-BL168-W
The BL168 Series is a high intensity white linear backlight for applications that depend on consistent, high-powered white illumination, including high-speed web material imaging with line scan cameras. A passively cooled finned heatsink handles the thermal load, so the light runs without cooling fans and stays maintenance-free in a clean process area.
Lengths run 82.8 mm to 2445.0 mm at 50.2 mm wide and 90.7 mm high, and the extrusion-based aluminium housing scales in one dimension so a wider web needs only a longer unit. Two M6 mounting channels on each side let the head be positioned and angled from either side of the frame.
Ultra-high power industrial grade LEDs run in exceptionally bright strobe or continuous mode depending on the control configuration, and optional uniformity balancing every six inches keeps exposure consistent across runs over 24 in. Standard units weigh around 635 g per 6 in of length, and white light lumen maintenance is L70 at 50,000 hours. The BL168 Series also serves as a general-purpose bar light where highly diffuse front illumination is needed.
