BL245 UltraSeal™ Backlight

The BL245 Series is the UltraSeal backlight, built for the most demanding washdown applications and certified IP69K against dust ingress and high-pressure steam. The patented housing is virtually crevice-free and built without exposed fasteners, so food, dust and debris have nowhere to lodge and cleaning is quick.

Emitting areas run from 106.2 mm by 71.4 mm up to 360.2 mm by 325.4 mm at 24.0 mm high, shallow enough to mount close under a transport surface. The housing is configurable in anodised aluminium or 316 stainless steel, so the same light suits a general line or a food zone where stainless is required.

High power industrial grade LEDs run strobed or continuous with white light lumen maintenance of L70 at 50,000 hours, keeping silhouettes consistent through repeated cleaning cycles. A 4 in by 4 in unit weighs around 385 g. The BL245 range covers white, 470 nm, 520 nm, 660 nm and 880 nm, suiting edge detection, part location and orientation, presence and absence, hole detection and gauging.
