BR90 Ring Light

Introduction

A 90 mm directed ring with the controller inside, for incident light around the lens.

The BR90 is the mid-small size in LUMIMAX's BASIC ring range: 80 SMD LEDs behind a clear screen, giving a directed 30° beam of even incident light for machine vision. The controller is built in, so it mounts around a camera lens and drives from a single cable with no separate box.

The controller is inside

Brightness is set on the ring and switching comes over a PLC input at 24 V DC — there is no external controller box and no separate supply to mount, which is the point of the BASIC range. It runs continuous and switching mode; this family does not strobe.

Directed light, close in

The clear screen leaves the LEDs with their own 30° beam and no diffuser, so the light is brighter and more directional than a diffuse ring — good for surface features and code reading, and less forgiving on a specular surface, where the individual emitters will show. Illuminance at 100 mm runs 8017–27572 lx across the colours; read the figure for the exact part number.

Applications

General-purpose incident ring lighting for machine vision — surface inspection, code and print reading, presence and absence, and small-part illumination directly around the lens.

Where it fits

The BR90 is the 90 mm size in the BR ladder — 50, 90, 140 and 200 mm outer diameter. Same 12 mm profile, same integrated controller and same M8 connector at every size; choose the diameter to clear the field of view and match the working distance.
