BT MicroBrite™ Backlight

The BT Series is the MicroBrite backlight, engineered to be extremely compact while holding high output intensity, for small part inspection where a full-size backlight will not fit. A side-fired light guide design gives edge-to-edge uniformity, so intensity holds right around the perimeter of the emitting window.

Three sizes cover 70.0 mm by 54.7 mm, 120.0 mm by 104.6 mm and 220.0 mm by 104.6 mm at 10.9 mm high, thin enough to sit under a nest or fixture plate. Four 3.2 mm oblong mounting points allow the panel to be shifted slightly during alignment before the fasteners are tightened.

High power industrial grade LEDs run strobed or continuous with white light lumen maintenance of L70 at 50,000 hours, holding silhouette contrast over long runs. Units weigh 54 g, 195 g and 313 g respectively, light enough to mount on moving tooling. The BT range covers white, 455 nm, 530 nm, 625 nm and 850 nm with collimation or polarizer conditioning, is rated IP50, and suits edge detection, part location, presence and absence, hole detection and gauging.
