BX2 High Intensity Edge-lit Backlight

The BX2 Series is the second edition of the edge-lit backlight range, giving a highly diffuse source of illumination in a thin, thermally efficient housing. At 19.1 mm thick it fits where spatial constraints rule out a back-lit panel, and M6 mounting channels on all four sides allow it to be fixed and adjusted from whichever edge is accessible.

The extrusion-based aluminium housing is pre-engineered for two-dimensional scalability, so the emitting area is matched to the part without a custom design. A side-fired backlight design gives edge-to-edge output uniformity with minimal edge effect at smaller sizes.

The BX2 Series is more than twice as bright as the earlier BX and CX models, which shortens exposure on moving product. A 300 mm by 300 mm unit weighs 2.14 kg, and white light lumen maintenance is L70 at 50,000 hours. The BX2 range covers white and ten wavelengths from 455 nm to 940 nm, with collimation for higher edge clarity on silhouettes or polarization to cut glare, rated IP50.
