COBRA™ Flex Line Light

The COBRA Flex is a linescan illuminator for high-speed line scan and web inspection where installation space is restricted. The control electronics are housed separately, which makes the light module itself far more compact and lets it go into places a self-contained illuminator cannot reach.

A number of mounting options are available for maximum flexibility, so the module can be fixed in whatever orientation the machine allows. The modular construction means any length up to 6 metres, matching the web width without a bespoke build, and field adjustable focusing distance and diffusers let the optics be set at the machine.

Fan cooled output reaches 1350 kLux in white and 743 kLux in red, bright enough to hold short exposures at speed, and the COBRA Flex is also available in a COBRA Max configuration delivering up to twice that intensity. The COBRA Flex range covers ultraviolet, visible and infrared wavelengths, with an optional strobing function offering up to five times the intensity and onboard Ethernet control. Applications include foil, plastic film, PCB, glass, paper, currency, semiconductor and flat panel display inspection.
