DF196 MicroBrite™ Direct Dark Field Ring

The DF196 Series is a direct dark field ring light for surface inspection on specular reflective parts, where contrast comes from topography changes, edges and small defects. Four opposing M4 mounting points hold the head at a repeatable position and angle, which dark field geometry depends on.

The series works at a set working distance and puts a focused, fixed-size spot on target, so the illuminated area and its brightness stay the same from station to station. Outer diameters cover 50 mm to 281.0 mm with inner diameters of 31.6 mm to 254.3 mm, letting the ring clear a compact lens or large optics.

Heights of 29.8 mm to 34.9 mm keep the head close to the part, weights of 86 g to 780 g suit fixed and moving mounts, and white light lumen maintenance of L70 at 50,000 hours holds output steady. The DF196 range offers white, 455 nm, 530 nm and 625 nm plus an RGB build for multi-channel controllers, in an IP40 housing certified to CE, RoHS and IEC 62471.
