About the LMX-DFL50
The DFL50 is the smallest LUMIMAX ring-shaped dark field light, with a 50mm light area diameter. Radial illumination runs almost parallel to the object plane, so a flat surface throws the light away from the camera and only features that deflect the rays appear bright. That regime shows engraving, embossing, stamped numbers, dot-peened and laser-cut codes, edges and cavities in high contrast, including on strongly reflective parts.
Six colours are orderable: blue at 470nm, green at 528nm, red at 625nm, white at 6000K, ultraviolet at 400nm and infrared at 870nm, in continuous and switch or flash operation. Strobe brightness reaches up to 25 times that of the continuous variants.
A representative white flash article gives 7 W/m2 at 0.2m from SMD LEDs, on 0.3A at 24 V DC and 120W at the light area with the external FLC2 controller. Flash times of 10 to 100us, 20 to 220us or 50 to 750us run at 100Hz, 35Hz or 10Hz, full output within 3us, brightness set by potentiometer or analogue input. The housing is 85mm by 26mm and 210g, rated IP40.
