About the AI-DL110-W
Introduction
Every other coaxial light is a square. This one is a bar.
Coaxial illumination puts light on the camera's own axis, through a beam splitter, so a flat reflective surface returns it straight back instead of throwing a glare lobe off to one side. DL110 does that along a line — which is the shape of the problem when the material is continuous and the camera is line-scan.
Why linear
A square coaxial light over a moving web wastes most of its output: the camera reads one row at a time, and everything illuminated above and below that row is light spent on nothing.
A linear coaxial light puts the same power where the sensor is actually looking. On a reflective strip — foil, film, coated sheet, polished rail — that is the difference between an image and a smear.
Applications
Reflective strip and web inspection. Machine vision generally, on flat specular material.
Configuring it
The part number carries the peak wavelength and the connector and control option, including inline-controller and M8 or M12 alternatives. The configuration table is on the datasheet.
