About the LMX-DOM-CD150
Overview
This is the large head in the LUMIMAX dome range. Its wide inner diameter brings the even, all-directions diffuse light of a hemispherical dome to larger curved and specular parts that the smaller heads would not enclose.
Enclosing more of the part is the reason for the size: a dome only works its magic on what it can surround with light, so a larger curved or specular surface needs the larger diameter to stay evenly lit and free of hot spots. It runs in continuous or switching operation.
Like the rest of the range it is driven by an external LUMIMAX controller rather than an onboard one. Choose the largest head when the part is too big for the mid-size dome; drop down the diameters when it is smaller, and use a flat diffuse light where the surface is flat rather than curved.
