FD2 High Intensity Back-lit Flat Diffuse

The FD2 Series is a high intensity back-lit flat diffuse light for front lighting flat and topographic surfaces such as PCBs. Built on the same architecture as the BL2 backlight, it brings the same build options into a front lighting geometry, sharing mounting and part number logic.

Precisely spaced 1 in by 1 in LED arrays sit behind the emitting window, holding uniform output whatever size is ordered. Emitting areas run from 110.7 mm by 103.9 mm up to 1202.9 mm by 1170.7 mm at 23.9 mm high, and the extrusion-based aluminium housing scales in two dimensions so a larger part needs no custom design.

The FD2 Series can take the place of a diffuse dome light on suitable surfaces and works at much longer light working distances, freeing space above the part. M6 mounting channels on all four sides allow fixing from any edge. An 8 in by 8 in unit weighs 1115 g. The FD2 range covers white, 470 nm, 530 nm, 625 nm and 880 nm with a polarizer option, rated IP50.
