About the Industrial LM
Introduction
Industrial LM is the module for the places other modules are not specified for: IP68, and an operating range of −10 to +50 °C — the widest in the OEM range.
IP68 means continuous immersion, not splash resistance. Together with the temperature range that makes this the module for washdown lines and outdoor installations rather than for a controlled indoor environment.
Control
CW or TTL modulation over an analogue interface — continuous output, or switched in step with a camera trigger so the laser is only on when it is being imaged.
Beam and alignment
Boresight accuracy is better than 0.25°, and pointing stability better than 5%.
Those two figures are what matter in triangulation: the beam has to leave the housing where the drawing says it does, and stay there while the line runs.
Where it fits
Industrial LM is the environmental choice in the OEM range. Where the installation is indoors and dry, other modules in the range are less expensive; where the requirement is machine vision rather than OEM integration, the ZX range is built for that.
