About the LMX-LBHP1000
Introduction
1001 × 24 mm of light field, in a bar 38 mm wide.
One rung of the LBHP ladder, which runs from 100 mm to 2000 mm in 100 mm steps. Same profile, same controller, same optics — 100 High Power LEDs in a single row, and the length is the variable.
Four optics, and they are not interchangeable after the fact
The cover is chosen with the part number and it changes what the bar is for.
Diffuse gives an even emitting strip with no visible LEDs — the forgiving choice, and the right one where the surface has texture or the geometry is not fixed.
Clear puts the individual High Power LEDs behind a plain window. More intensity, and a structure to the light that a specular surface will show.
Lensed narrows the beam. The catalogue carries 15°, 20°, 25°, 40° and 120° ancillary lenses, which is the difference between lighting a strip 50 mm away and lighting one a metre away.
Read the lens angle against the working distance, not against the brightness figure.
Built-in controller
Brightness is set on the bar itself, at a potentiometer on the end cap beside the M16 output. There is no external controller box.
100 % brightness within 160 µs in switching mode, and within 15 µs in strobe. Flash duration is 10–100 µs, 20–220 µs or 50–750 µs by part number, at 10, 35 or 100 Hz.
What it puts on the part
At 100 mm: 57312–224298 lx across variants.
At 1000 mm: continuous 4934–23690 lx · strobe 667.5–260722 lx.
Those figures span the colours and the optics together — a diffuse infrared and a 15°-lensed white are both in there. Read the figure for the part number, not for the length.
Applications
Bar lights are the general-purpose incident source: surface inspection, print and code reading, presence and absence, edge detection, and — angled low across a part — scratch, dent and emboss detection that flat light will not show.
Where it fits
Twenty lengths, 100 mm to 2000 mm in 100 mm steps. Below this one the bar is lighter and draws less; above it, the current and the mounting both become design constraints in their own right. LBHP300 is listed as `lbhp-modular-bar-light` rather than by its length, which is the one break in the family's naming.
