About the LMX-LG1010-BK-V02
Introduction
Black when it is off. That is the whole of it, and it is not cosmetic.
A backlight sits behind the part, which means it sits in the camera's field of view. A pale emitting face reflects whatever else is in the cell — the part's own edges, the ambient, the fixture — and that reflection lands in the frame alongside the silhouette you came for. This one does not.
What the black face costs
It is a real trade, and the numbers say how much.
Roughly a quarter of the light, for a face that does not reflect. In strobe it runs 207,383 – 557,961 lx at the window and 43,207 – 118,912 lx at 100 mm.
Whether that is worth it is a question about your scene, not about the panel: if the light never appears in frame, buy the plain one.
Timing
100 % brightness within 8 µs in strobe, 200 µs in switching mode, with the first pulse after initial operation delayed by 3 ms.
Applications
Silhouette inspection where the panel is in frame — object gauging, edge detection, hole detection, presence and absence, part location and orientation.
Where it fits
The BK builds exist at every LG size. LG1010-V02 is this panel with the standard pale face and about four times the output.
