About the AI-LL163-W
Overview
This is the classic, legacy line light in the range. It is a lower-intensity head, and it is honest about that: it is best suited to low-speed line-scan work — the unwrapping can-label inspection kind of job — rather than the high-throughput lines the brighter heads are built for.
It scales across a wide range of lengths in fixed increments and keeps a set of legacy derivative lengths for retrofits, with several lens focus options and a choice of wavelengths across UV, visible and one near-infrared option. Control is by inline or external controller rather than an embedded driver.
Its lower output is the deliberate limit: it suits slow, unwrapping-style inspection and is the wrong choice for a fast web. When the line speeds up or the target needs more light, one of the high-intensity heads is the right move; this one earns its place on established low-speed stations and cost-sensitive retrofits.
