About the Photon
Introduction
Photon is the most configurable module in the range. IP67 stainless steel, Ø19 × 53 mm, and four optic families: spot, line, cross and pattern.
Wavelengths run 520 to 785 nm at 10 to 70 mW, with CW or TTL modulation.
Why stainless and IP67
IP67 is immersion, not splash. Combined with a stainless housing, that puts Photon in washdown areas rather than in a cabinet — and stainless matters as much for what it resists chemically as for the seal.
Class 2 to 3B
The classification varies with wavelength and power across a wide span, from Class 2 to Class 3B. A 3B configuration carries obligations a Class 2 one does not, so the class should be settled with the configuration rather than after it.
Where it fits
Photon PRO shares the housing and adds near-end-of-life monitoring, at lower power. Compact is far smaller and simpler for embedded OEM work; the 3D PRO family produces a uniform rather than Gaussian line for scanning.
