Introduction

PROdigii is the module that talks back. RS485 control with in-service system monitoring, so the host knows what the laser is doing rather than assuming.

Its second feature follows from the first: integral thermal management holding the wavelength stable. A laser diode's wavelength moves with temperature, and in spectroscopy or analytics that drift is the measurement error.

Ten times the power, pulsed

50 mW continuous, 500 mW pulsed. For measurement that can be gated to the exposure, the pulsed figure is the one that matters — the peak reaches the detector while the average stays low enough to manage thermally.

Class 1 to 3B

The classification spans the range depending on wavelength and configuration. A Class 1 build carries no handling obligations; a 3B build carries several. Settle it with the configuration rather than after.

Where it fits

PROdigii is the analytical module: 3D measurement and analytics, where wavelength stability and readback matter more than raw output. Where neither is needed, the 3D PRO family produces a uniform line more cheaply, and the ZXS range offers 150 kHz modulation against RS485's slower command loop.
