Overview

About the AI-SL162-W

The SL162 is a high intensity spot and coaxial light built to replace fibre-optic light sources, particularly in lens-based internal coaxial applications including microscopy and stereo scope inspection. A "24" model option carries an embedded driver, so the light runs without an external or inline controller and cable runs stay simple.

The barrel is 31.8 mm in diameter and 84.9 mm long at 77 g, which fits the standard coaxial mounting used on vision lenses and stays light on a moving head. An M3 mounting point secures it once aligned. Optional couplers suit Dolan-Jenner, Fostec and Moritex fibre bundles, so existing fibre optics can be driven from the new source.

Sixteen wavelength choices from 365 nm ultraviolet to 940 nm near-infrared make one housing serve many inspection tasks, and an ultra-high power white LED option raises intensity on target where exposure time is short. White light lumen maintenance is L70 at 50,000 hours. The SL162 is rated IP50 and certified to CE, RoHS and IEC 62471.
