About the ZD Module
Introduction
ZD is the small universal module: Ø11 mm × 51 mm, 35 g, in green 520 nm or red 635 nm.
Its useful feature is the supply. 5 to 24 V DC covers almost every voltage rail a machine already has, so integrating it rarely means adding a power supply.
Applications
Alignment and positioning in woodworking, stone and textile work — trades where a projected line marks a cut and an operator works to it.
A note on protection
IP40 keeps fingers and coarse dust out; it does not keep water out. The spot optic drops this to IP30. For a wet or washdown environment, look to the IP65 and IP67 modules in the range.
Where it fits
ZD is the one to reach for when space and supply voltage are the constraints. ZPT-F and ZRG-F are larger, IP65, focusable and considerably more powerful; ZR adds a mains input and a rotatable mount.
