About the ZF-pe-F Module
Introduction
ZF-pe-F puts IP65 into an 11 mm body. That combination is the product: the compact modules in this range are typically IP40, and stepping up to IP65 usually means stepping up to a 20 mm or 40 mm barrel.
Ø11 × 40 mm, 31 g, and focusable.
Electrical protection
Reverse polarity, transient and ESD protection built in.
On a module this small that matters more than it sounds. A compact laser is usually wired into a machine by whoever is installing it rather than assembled on a bench, and reverse polarity protection is the difference between a wiring mistake and a replacement.
Where it fits
ZF-pe-F is the choice when the space is tight and the environment is not kind — the two constraints that usually pull in opposite directions in this range.
ZD is smaller still at Ø11 × 51 mm but only IP40, and takes a 5–24 V supply. ZM18 is IP67 in a sensor housing four times the volume.
