Offline cable measurement
VisioCablePro® measurement systems cover outer diameter, ovality, concentricity, layer thickness, and many other quality relevant parameters for a wide range of cable types — from fine wire assemblies to heavy industrial cable. Offline (laboratory) configurations are available, with systems capable of measuring across the full production range without changeover.
Measurement data is logged and trended by product and batch, providing the production record required for process control, customer documentation and quality system compliance. Where the measurement result needs to feed back into a production alarm or reject system, VisioCablePro® systems provide the interface.
Precise sample preparation
VisioCablePro® sample preparation equipment handles the conductor removing, cutting, and stripping steps required before cross-section microscopy and inspection. These sample preparation devices minimise operator-to-operator variation in the most critical quality control parameters — cutting angle, sample thickness and, consequently, sample quality all influence what is visible under the microscope and how borderline cases are assessed.
Simple and precise preparation effectively standardises every sample, making cross-section results comparable across operators, shifts and sites. The measurement principle is non-contact optical, so conductor material, insulation type and surface finish do not affect measurement capability.
