About the Chameleon FX
The Chameleon FX is a protection housing built around the Specim FX10 and FX17 hyperspectral cameras and the Keyence VS-L. Heat conductive tape sits between camera and enclosure, drawing heat into the powder coated aluminium body and holding the sensor stable, which matters where spectral calibration drifts with temperature.
The 230 x 200 x 111 mm body takes the GigE and Camera Link versions of each camera, with cable gland apertures of 26.5 mm for M32 GigE and 42 mm for M50 Camera Link, so the original camera cable passes through without a connector change. An Orca housing adapter opens the front to every Orca lid and extension, which brings shorter focal length lenses into range.
Rated IP66 and IP67, the enclosure withstands jetting water and temporary immersion. It weighs 3000 g in RAL 7001 light grey with a 45 mm window aperture. The Chameleon FX range offers acrylic and BK7 windows, Peltier cooling and heater options, a dovetail mounting plate, and a pressure equalising valve for outdoor use.
