About the Elefant
The Elefant is a protection housing for the largest industrial cameras, taking bodies up to 100 x 100 mm in cross section. Water cooling channels are cast into the lid, which pulls heat out of a high-power sensor in ambient conditions where air cooling alone would not hold it.
The Elefant accepts lenses up to 120 mm in diameter through a 4 inch front lid with an 88 mm aperture, clearing the large-diameter optics used on line scan and high-speed cameras. Three lengths from 172 to 282 mm cover short and long lens assemblies, and flange versions accept every Orca lid and extension plus the Meganova ring light.
Rated IP66 and IP67, the Elefant handles jetting water and temporary immersion. The anodised aluminium body weighs 2.3 to 3.3 kg. The Elefant range offers 3 inch and 4 inch windows in acrylic, BK7 or germanium, dome lids for fisheye lenses, and heating, pneumatic shutter, air nozzle and wind curtain options, with custom colour available.
