About the Feuersalamander
The Feuersalamander is a stainless steel protection housing for cameras in food, pharmaceutical and chemical plants where the enclosure itself is cleaned with the line. The body is electro-polished V4A stainless steel AISI 316L, a surface that sheds residue and resists the aggressive detergents used in wash-down.
The Feuersalamander takes cameras up to 40 x 40 mm in cross section and lenses up to 55 mm in the profile or 52 mm in the front lid, in a 69 mm diameter cylinder that mounts in the round fittings common on hygienic frames. Two lengths at 115 and 165 mm cover short and long optics on the same mount.
Rated IP66 and IP67, it takes jetting water and temporary immersion. Weight is 1700 g in size S and 2200 g in size M. The Feuersalamander range carries a 45 mm window in acrylic, BK7, sapphire or germanium out to 14 um, with a self-drilling cable gland taking connectors up to 18.5 mm.
