Orca

The Orca is a protection housing for the larger sensors used in line scan, thermal and high resolution inspection. The included camera mount conducts heat into the anodised aluminium body, which keeps a power-hungry sensor within its temperature limits in a sealed enclosure.

The Orca takes cameras up to 61 x 61 mm in cross section and lenses up to 85 mm in diameter, on a 96 x 96 mm body common to every size, so one bracket set covers the range. Four lengths from 144 to 349 mm hold anything from a short C-mount to a long telecentric, and the front is optimised for the Meganova ring light so illumination and camera share one sealed assembly.

Rated IP66 and IP67, it handles jetting water and temporary immersion at 1050 g to 2050 g. The Orca range offers 2 inch and 3 inch windows with 45 or 65 mm apertures in acrylic, BK7, sapphire or germanium, a twin germanium and BK7 lid for the Flir A50 and A70, dome lids for fisheye lenses, and heating, cooling and shutter options.
