Salamander

The Salamander is a universal protection housing for standard machine vision cameras on production lines and outdoor installations. The camera mount is included and conducts heat into the anodised aluminium profile, holding sensor temperature down so image noise stays predictable.

The Salamander takes cameras up to 40 x 40 mm in cross section and lenses up to 55 mm in diameter, on a 66 x 66 mm body that fits standard mounting brackets without a custom plate. Four lengths from 108 to 233 mm let the same enclosure cover a short C-mount lens or a long telecentric, so a site can standardise on one housing family and one set of spares.

Rated IP66 and IP67, the Salamander withstands jetting water and temporary immersion. Weight runs from 660 g to 1200 g. The Salamander range adds a 45 mm window in acrylic, BK7, sapphire or germanium out to 14 um, an electric heating plate and water cooling module for extreme sites, extensions, sun roofs, and mounts for cylindrical lasers.
